It seems to me that each of us belongs to the world in a very particul ar way, and that we learn slowly to live out that way of belonging as a faith that can be stronger than any religious dogma. I do not think this is a selfish road; I believe that this is the only authentic way we can give of our self and our gifts to others. This is how we learn to be generous. And it is also how we learn the magnificence and difficulty of living a courageous life.

NH Courage & Renewal Schedules
Have an exceptional and relaxing summer
A Rhythm of Rest
... All life requires a rhythm of rest. There is a rhythm in our waking activity and the body’s need for rest...there is a rhythm as the active growth of spring and summer is quieted by the necessary dormancy of fall and winter...in our bodies, the heart perceptibly rests after each life-giving beat; the lungs rest between inhale and exhale...

Our Professional and Personal Renewal Programs
When we reconnect who we are with what we do, we approach our lives and our work with renewed passion, commitment, and integrity.
Since 2002, the staff of Professional Renewal Resources has helped foster personal and professional renewal through retreats that offer the time and space to reflect on life and work. These retreats, called Courage to Teach®, Courage to Lead®, or Circles of Trust® are led by skilled facilitators and make use of poetry and stories, solitude, reflection, and deep listening to assist participants’ in honest self reflection while challenging them to move forward with a greater understanding of their gifts, skills and potential.
Developed with author, educator, and activist Parker J. Palmer, PhD, and the Fetzer Institute, this approach was initially created to renew, sustain, and inspire public school teachers. Educators remain at the heart of our mission, but retreats are also offered to those in serving professions such as health care, clergy, and law, as well as to anyone yearning to become more wholehearted in their life and work. This works seeks to renew in each participant a personal commitment to working from the heart and a renewal of that spirit which makes his or her best work possible.
Courage to Teach
Courage To Teach® (CTT) is a program of quarterly retreats for the personal and professional renewal of public school educators.
Courage to Lead
Courage to Lead® (CTL) is a process that helps school leaders sustain and renew their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to school leadership and to the communities they serve.
Circles of Trust
We also offer retreats designed for those interested in experiencing the Circle of Trust® approach that can bring a deeper connection to lives and careers.
