Leading from Within: Reclaim Selfhood in Professional Life
Parker J. Palmer, writer, teacher, activist
In his book, The Courage to Teach, Parker Palmer writes that 'good teaching cannot be reduced to technique; good teaching comes from the identity and integrity of the teacher.' Palmer extends this notion of integrity to people of all professions who yearn to live lives that are congruent with their own inner truth.
In October 2005 at Wellesley College, Parker addressed the challenge of joining soul and role in public and private life, particularly in a world filled with the forces of fragmentation. Palmer is introduced by Wellesley College President Diana Chapman Walsh.
